Al Amara Trading, founded in 1974 by Mr. Zakaria Shaban Alashi, has grown to become one of Qatar’s most respected suppliers of industrial and construction materials. Built on a foundation of trust, integrity, and consistent quality, for over 50 years, we have been a leading importer and distributor of steel, wood, aluminum, copper, and heavy construction materials, trusted by contractors, developers, and government entities alike.

Our extensive inventory capacity, combined with dedicated logistics, warehousing, and value-added services, enables us to support the largest infrastructure, fabrication, and oil & gas projects in the country.

Founders’ Vision

The company began with the vision of Mr. Zakaria Shaban Alashi, Mr. Saif Kharma, and their partners—renowned traders in the wood industry. With limited resources but immense determination, they built a business rooted in relationships, long-term thinking, and ethical values. From personally managing every transaction to delivering consistent quality, their legacy is the cornerstone of Al Amara’s continued success.

Growth and Diversification

Driven by a growing reputation, the company expanded into steel, aluminum, and stainless steel trading, guided by Mr. Yahya Alashi, Mr. Khalid Alashi, and Mr. Nabeel Alashi. Their leadership introduced steel fabrication and carpentry divisions, enabling the company to serve large-scale industrial and infrastructure projects with tailored solutions.

This period also marked the formation of global supplier partnerships and the modernization of logistics and inventory systems.

A New Generation of Leadership

The next generation, including Mr. Osama Alashi, Mr. Hussam Alashi, and Mr. Zakaria Alashi, brought renewed energy and innovation. Mr. Osama advanced the steel division, while Hussam and Zakaria enhanced carpentry operations and raw material sourcing.

Together, they have steered the company toward digital transformation, sustainability, and scalable service offerings—balancing tradition with modern enterprise.
